Here's what we were working with - a front entry that just wasn't doing the house justice. The access was worn out, the layout was awkward, and it didn't match the quality of the home itself. That's a pretty common situation, and honestly it's one of the more satisfying problems to solve.

We came in with a full plan. New pavers, new steps, retaining walls, landscape design, and low-voltage lighting throughout. Each piece of this had to work together - not just look good on its own. Getting that right takes real coordination between the hardscape layout, the plant placement, and how the lighting ties it all together at night.

The paver walkway leads cleanly from the driveway up to the entry steps, with a dark border detail that gives the whole path a finished, intentional look. The steps themselves are wide and solid, built with the same paver system so everything flows. Retaining walls hold the grade in check and frame the planting beds without looking heavy or overdone.

The landscape design pulls it all together. River rock accents, dark mulch, and low plantings fill in around the hardscape in a way that feels natural to the property. Then the lighting kicks in - step lights built right into the risers and wall-mounted fixtures that make the entrance feel welcoming after dark without being overdone.

This is the kind of work that adds real value to a home. A well-built front entry does three things at once - it looks great, it functions safely, and it holds up long-term. We're proud of how this one came together in Oak Ridge, NJ.
